Over the decades I have had all sorts of fascinating ‘weeds’ crop up in my yard and garden. This is but the latest discovery. What I thought was a common grassy weed has flowered and set seed, unlike any of the previous grasses in my yard. (Mystery probably solved: above this bin of humus is my birdfeeder. No doubt a seed from it has germinated.)
