I rehearsed with the guitarist twice, maybe 20 minutes of rehearsal altogether (other comics had to practice with the band also). It felt like flying by the seat of my pants at showtime. I wasn’t sure how the set had gone over. I asked a friend who had been filming and he gave this assessment: “I’m not sure anyone could understand anything you were saying, but they seemed to react well to the energy and theatricality.” Good enough!
