pots on cobblestones

salad, strawberries, peppers, basil, mint, attempting grapes on a shady street, my neighbor across the street, a health food store owner, (the store is located in another town), is aghast that i eat salad that grew right where cars go by with their exhaust fumes.  My wife caught her fear and refuses to eat the auto exhaust salad that i pick from in front of the dwelling.  Oh well, i am certainly enjoying the garden output.
