In the Ural Mountains, villagers make a disturbing discovery. I litter of puppies is hidden in a den among the roots of a gnarled oak. These puppies are different, and in a place where superstition is a way of life, the villagers are horrified. Then someone steps forward and starts to tell a story. And as it progresses, they start to understand, and it turns into a tale unlike these inhabitants of the Urals have ever heard.
